We have a strong reputation for delivering quality services in the rendering industry.  Over the years I have received a great deal of feedback from my clients on the quality of my work, some comments on which are noted below.

After installing a new rendering plant including commissioning and hand over from the supplier, we found ourselves in need of additional professional advise, training and continued support. After reaching out to the Australian Rendering Association (ARA) they recommended we contact Mark. 

Mark, was initially engaged to review and report on the current operation and performance of the rendering plant especially focusing on the major pieces of newly purchased equipment. Through this report, our management team and the equipment supplier agreed to up-grade specific items of the plant. 

Through Marks consultation and knowledge, we also took on board other aspects of our rendering process looking to improve efficiencies especially on the following:

Blood dewatering - especially focusing on the automated CIP cleaning  

Understanding the waste heat condenser system where we up-graded from the original specification to utilize all the waste heat and produce 85°C hot water for the abattoirs

His guidance focusing on setting up our quality control program (QA) by making it easier and quicker to put the program in place specifically to suit our plant

His general knowledge/recommendation in providing contacts for product testing, specifications, test equipment, equipment service providers and end product trader options seemed so natural for him to share his wealth of experience

From Marks initial engagement report to review our operations, we then engaged his services on an annual contract based where he visits our site quarterly to review our process and is available 24/7 for reassurance in regards to any quires we have

Mark was engaged to complete an audit on one of our new process lines following its installation. Like any new process line, we required the finesse and attention to detail RBPAUST delivers to ensure the plant operates to its optimum performance.  He spent considerable time on site with each of our process team operators, regardless of their shifts e.g. night or day shift.

Mark submitted a detailed report which highlighted some of our shortcomings and flagged prospective problem areas. These findings will be acted upon and the modifications will be implemented.  We will also use the report as a training tool for current and future operator and maintenance staff.

I have no hesitation in recommending Mark to any company wishing to utilise his services and we will welcome him back on site to audit all of our process lines in the future.

“I first met Mark Pope 27 years ago when he was setting up the new rendering plant at Fletcher International at Dubbo.  Mark later went to Fletcher’s at Albany to supervise the construction and commissioning of the rendering plant.  

In his time at Dubbo and Albany, Mark was known for his innovative approach to rendering.  He came up with novel designs to facilitate hygienic rendering.  He allowed me to photograph his equipment designs.  The images have been used at the ARA workshop on hygienic rendering as examples of best practice ever since.  

Mark continued his innovative approach while at Keith Engineering and introduced new ideas, particularly in relation to cooker control, which have been widely adopted.   Mark has a wealth of knowledge about practical rendering. 

As I travel around the industry I frequently come across people who tell me about how Mark has helped them to overcome problems and put them on the track to more efficient rendering.  His depth of knowledge and use of his expertise to help others makes him a well respected member of the rendering community.”
